What's up, renegade musicians? It's Jared Judge. And welcome back to another episode of The Gigging Musician Podcast. If it's been a crazy October, I don't know, so much has been going on.

It is. Right now it's October 16th or 17th, whatever the Thursday is. And yeah, my brother in law just got married to an amazing woman at one of the most beautiful wedding venues here in the Denver area.

Mount Vernon Canyon Club. Check that out. I don't like pitching and combining business with family stuff, so I have not reached out to them yet.

But now that their wedding's over, it's fair game and we're gonna go for it. I'm gonna go on a venue tour, even though I've already been there, because the point is to have an completely independent meeting with the venue planner and get on their preferred vendor list without the complication of, hey, we're also talking about my brother in law's wedding, so that's good. That's what's going to be happening.

It also was my birthday, so I'm October 14th, baby. And so my family and I went out to Hibachi, which is one of my favorite once a year or less kind of experiences. It's fun.

We went to Benihana and we actually passed by another venue that I've played at the Omni Interlocking Resort. And I'm on their preferred vendor list already. But I love Hibachi.

It's so much fun. And then on Tuesday this week, I got to see a concert of my favorite EDM artist named Zed. So that was so cool.

The production quality, like, the visuals were just stunning. He custom built like a stage layout with a screen that was kind of like, you know, the doorway. The only thing I can compare it to right now is like the arch shaped doorway leading to the mines of Moria in Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring.

So if you know, you know, if not, well, just imagine this beautiful archway that is actually a giant screen where they projected visuals onto, surrounded by all these different colored lights that actually are also moved and tons of like strobes and lasers and things like that. And it was very impressive. And I would say it was probably my favorite EDM show I've been to.

And my wife came. She doesn't normally come to EDM shows with me. It's not really her genre.

But I was very appreciative that she came with me and we danced. So anyway, this episode is going to be kind of short because I want to announce the an experiment I'd like to run. The experiment I'd like to run is I'd like to feature you on this podcast.

You know, I've been running this podcast for a while. We got a pretty decent audience size now, and I would love to use this as a platform to help musicians get more exposure and, you know, just share their journeys. And so I'm a very good interviewer.

If you haven't listened to any of my interviews, just go back a bunch of episodes and you'll hear my interview style. But the plan would be for you, if you're interested in being on this podcast, just email me jaredooklive.com and let me know that you're interested.

And then we'll schedule a time, get a time on the calendar. I'll set it all up on Zoom. We'll use Zoom to record the interview, and then I'll just ask you a bunch of questions about your musical act.

You know, how you got it started, why did you start it, what kind of music do you like to play, what kind of gigs do you play? And we'll have a good time. And I think a couple things will happen. One is that you'll get to share your story with the world, which is great.

As musicians, you know, we always need more platforms to showcase our best work. Two is that you'll get backlinks from our podcast to your website, which, if you have a website, Google loves it when you get links to it from other places because that brings you higher in the search engine results, which could potentially mean more.

More inquiries, more gigs, more search, more tickets sold to your shows, more merch sold, whatever, Obviously, I can't guarantee any of that, but there's a chance.

And then three is, you know, we'll have a really good conversation. And, you know, perhaps there are ways that we find that we could work together more. You never know.

Like, maybe there's a strategy shift or maybe we could even coach you a little bit on the call. If you have questions about how do I promote my music, how do I book more corporate gigs, what would you do for my specific musical act? I think that'd be pretty cool. So if you're interested in that, send me an email.

Jared@Booklive.com put the subject line gigging musician podcast. And then let me know, you know, that you want to be interviewed.

And, you know, send me, like a link to your website or your social media so I could just kind of hear your music just so I can be prepared. And then I will reply back with a link to schedule our interview, and then I'll interview you, and then I'll publish the episode and we can all promote it on our on our socials, which I think would be pretty awesome. So I'm going to wrap that up for today.

Very short episode, but I hope that you guys consider being featured. I think it'd be a great opportunity for both of us. All right, again, send me an email.

Jared@BookLive.com J A R E D @ B O K L I V E.com and subject line Gigging Musician Podcast and let's make happen.

All right, that's all I got for you. Thanks for tuning in to another episode of The Gigging Musician Podcast. Remember, "Your music won't market itself!".

Bye.
